Our take on the Phocuswright Conference 2024

The Phocuswright Conference has come to a close, and the Joyned team has returned from Phoenix, Arizona, feeling energized and inspired by the incredible event they just had.

This year’s conference theme, “The New Agents”, focused on the disruption of travel distribution by new players and paradigms. As expected, AI took center stage and dominated most discussions. Another key topic was the growing impact of social media on the customer journey, with Phocuswright’s own research revealing that 62% of travelers who use social media for trip planning have been influenced by content they’ve seen on these platforms.

For us at Joyned, the conference offered a unique opportunity to be part of these transformative conversations. Represented by Sergio Vargas Johansson, Oz Erez, Bryan London, and Alex Jorre, the team was excited to share our vision for the future of travel, especially in the realm of social revenue. Our CEO, Michael Levinson, was also in attendance and had the pleasure of recording an insightful episode of the Travel Trends Podcast with host Dan Christian. Stay tuned as the episode is scheduled to be released soon.

As the industry increasingly shifts toward a more connected, experience-driven approach, Joyned is positioned to be at the forefront of helping travelers make collaborative purchasing decisions together with their friends and family. It was our third year at the Phocuswright Conference, and it was nothing short of fantastic, bringing together some of the brightest minds and most influential leaders in the travel industry.

A big thank you to everyone we connected with and see you next time!
